Ebony's Mom will be a vendor at our yard sale this Saturday. The profits made from the items she sells will go towards her daughter's scholarship fund. Make sure you visit her while you're shopping.
Ebony C. Robinson Scholarship
The Ebony C. Robinson Scholarship was formed in memory of Ebony C. Robinson who was murdered along with her unborn son in 2007. Ebony was a distinguished and record setting athlete, a graduate of Durham School of the Arts (DSA) in Durham, NC. She was a student at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and a member of the track and field team. Ebony was 21 years old when she was murdered. Ebony loved and played basketball and volleyball, she ran track, indoor, outdoor and cross country, she was an artist and majored in Art at NCCU. Ebony loved people, especially children.
Ebony was active in Mt. Zion Christian Church in Durham, NC and involved in several community service non-profits. Her goal was to go the Olympics and run track in 2009.
The Ebony C. Robinson Scholarship provides scholarship assistance to residents of Durham, North Carolina. Scholarships are available for students pursuing secondary education in art or education.
The scholarship will be administered and managed by the Durham Public School’s Scholarship Foundation. We will be accepting donations by mail until we reach the $5000 minimum required by the Foundation. We will immediately mail you a temporary receipt and a tax receipt before the end of 2010 from the Foundation. Please mail all donations to:
